Jason and Amanda Joy Wells were thirty-something newlyweds who, two weeks after tying the knot in spring 2009, moved into their first home, a beautifully preserved 1949 one owner home filled with charming character (and lots of potential)...not to mention the giant workshop and all the fruiting trees and bushes in the back yard. This site is meant to document the evolution of this house into their home as well as all of the events, occasions and happenings in and around it.

The Last Room...for now

It was a rainy Sunday and I had HAD IT with our dreary little bathroom. The faux tile wainscot and the yucky tan, high-gloss walls made me want to get out of there as quickly as possible. A bathroom should be a sanctuary...so that is what I made it. A TEEEENY-TINY sanctuary.

While Jason had some boy time at a friend's house, I painted and found a home for the artwork that had been waiting patiently in the workshop for months.

This change even makes the mustard yellow linoleum floor look decent.
